Trade Hire Services, a division of R.B.Steel and Co. provides specialist staff recruitment, vehicle hire and trade equipment hire specifically for, but not limited to the removal and storage industry in Scotland.

Staff hire includes removal porters, Class 1 and 2 LGV drivers, van drivers, crew supervisors, and full sub-contract crews capable of carrying out your jobs on your behalf, to your required standard.

All supervisors are B.A.R. Trained and Certificated to Export Packer Standard and have a minimum of 5 years experience in European Removals and Deep-Sea removals.

Our vehicle range comprises:

Vehicles can be hired with or without crew and driver, and can be delivered to your premises if required. We also have a range of trailers from 500kg to 16t drawbar, including flatbed, car trailer and a 600 cu ft 1 x container trailer.

Our equipment hire department offers a variety of “state of the art” machines and moving aids. A new addition is the European-style Boecker Furniture Hoist capable of lifting a 250kg load to 18 metres height, sometimes described as furniture lifting equipment, suitable for access through windows, balconies and roof terraces.

We also have a 600kg capacity “PianoPlan” piano and safe stair climber, ideal for concert grand pianos and commercial removals. Sack barrows, piano bogies, pallet trucks, skids and crates can also be hired.

Another unique facility is our “Self-Service Garage Area”, suitable for routine maintenance, repairs, bodywork and jet washing. Our facility boasts 5 metre high roller shutter doors with a 5 bay inspection pit area for cars and vans, and a “drive-through” HGV inspection area. Repair bays are chargeable by the hour, day or week, depending on the nature and length of required visit.
